Mark Meredith trained as a magazine and newspaper journalist in the UK, writing features for the Portsmouth News, but became known in the Caribbean Republic of Trinidad and Tobago as an investigative environmental writer for Trinidad Express Newspapers.


Over 10 years he won national and regional awards for highlighting environmental and development concerns in the Caribbean, especially as they related to its tourism product.


Travel and tourism in New Zealand, along with environmental and conservation issues, remain Mark’s major interests today.
